ABOUT SUTTON

At 5 years old, Sutton was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. She fell into diabetic ketoacidosis and was taken to Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH), where she stayed for a week to regain her blood sugar levels. Her mom says the best thing about their experience at ACH was the nurses. "They not only educated us on each situation, but emotionally strived to help us through every hard moment and also every small success!" Sutton continues to be seen at Arkansas Children's. She loves art, golf, gymnastics and playing with friends and her brother.

ABOUT THE ART - "Pathways"

"Pathways" is about any journey from the beginning of a diagnosis to the place where one understands how to experience joy again, even in the midst of the hard. The ups and downs and in-between of recognizing the small beauties to achieve unprecedented peace no matter the circumstances.
