PADDLE RAISE

Over 8,000 Tarrant County residents will be diagnosed with cancer in the coming year.  1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women in the U.S. will develop cancer in their lifetime.  Standard lodging costs for a patient receiving radiation treatment for four to six weeks can cost up to $5,250.  American Cancer Society has seen patients interrupt their treatment, forego the effective cancer care needed, because they cannot afford the expenses of travel and lodging.

Make a gift in support of this year's targeted fundraising effort (paddle raise):

Cancer patient access to care funding in the state of Texas.  Help patients with lodging and transportation needs during cancer treatments.

$100 provides 7 free rides to treatment.

$500 provides 4 free hotel nights and 30 free rides to treatment.

In 2024 in Texas, ACS provided 3,437 patients with 47,403 free rides to treatment.

In Texas at Hope Lodges, 2,748 guests provided with 46,342 nights of lodging.

In 2024 in Tarrant County, 145 patients provided with 1,180 grant-funded transportation services.

Paddle raise donations are 100% tax deductible.

Who We Are

The Cowtown Ball is celebrating its 32nd year in Fort Worth as a top Tarrant County gala. This event has raised more than $8.5 million for the American Cancer Society in the Fort Worth area. These funds are used to help people stay well, get well, find cures, and fight back against cancer in our community. Guests don cowboy chic attire for an evening of dining, dancing, and entertainment, all to raise money for this worthy cause. We invite you to help us end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
