Seattle Art Museum is offering an exclusive tour for up to ten people with SAM's Chief of Exhibition Design and Installation, who will walk you through the art of how SAM's award-winning exhibitions are selected, created, produced, and presented to the public. Up to 10 people will receive an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour from SAM's Chief of Exhibition Design and Installation, who will walk you through the art of how SAM's award-winning exhibitions are selected. The tour will be hosted at the downtown location and will include the design and installation workshop, special exhibition spaces, and existing galleries.

Learn how a temporary exhibition is created and installed at the downtown museum. Take in a behind closed door experience of what it takes to install art throughout the galleries. See some of the ways these galleries are transformed from one installation to the next.

This tour will last approximately 1.5 hours and end with a light reception at Market, SAM's adjacent restaurant! Date and time to be arranged and mutually agreed upon by guests and SAM staff. Group maximum is 10, no overages accepted. All ages are welcome. The tour can happen during the week or weekend but will not be in the evening. Blackout dates are 6/19/25 -7/21/25.
