Here's your chance to own a piece of artwork by Joan R. Brownstein! Joan was a graduate of Dana Hall School where she received her undergraduate degree in Fine Art and Architecture from Cornell University and her MFA at Hunter College. Joan would later teach art at Harvard and write extensively about art. Later in life, as Parkinson's disease impacted her ability to paint, Joan changed her artistic techniques and began focusing on cut and layered paper and colored pencil. This beautiful framed painting by Joan is a Giclée painting. In its most basic definition, giclee is a French term for "to spray" or "to squirt".
Joan was a professional artist who sadly passed away from Parkinson's in 2020 and left some of her art behind. She also suffered from dementia.
