What is the Gala?

The Gala is Ecole Bilingue's largest fundraising event and provides vital support for our operating budget. From student support to safety measures, classroom technology, and teacher development, the proceeds make a significant impact on EB's people and programs. A special "Fund for the Future" segment raises extra funds for a specific school need. 

What is this year's theme and dress code?

This year, EB's Gala takes us to Paris à Minuit (Midnight in Paris). We invite you step into a night of intrigue and elegance, as we transport you to the City of Lights... after dark.

The dress code is cocktail attire with an edge. Think leather, lace, black gloves, deep jewel tones, metallics, and other dramatic details... 

As this is a masked soirée, we invite you to don a mask and add an element of mystery to your outfit. Masks are not required, though we will have some available at check-in if you decide you'd like to participate in the fun on arrival. 

Why should I go?

Beyond a fundraiser, the Gala is also a fabulous party! This year's theme, Paris à Minuit (Midnight in Paris), is an invitation to gather for an enchanting evening of auctions, games, dining, and dancing. It's a night for our community - parents, teachers, staff, alumni parents, and friends - to connect, dance, and support our beloved EB.  

What else happens during the event?

The night kicks off with a cocktail reception and Silent Auction, where you can mingle and bid on a selection of great services, parties, and other fun lots. We'll enjoy a plated dinner, followed by live bidding on special experiences. Past lots in the live auction have included a trip to Mexico, a week-long stay in Paris, dinner with the Head for ten, a weekend in Tahoe, and more. Many lots are purchased by a group to share the cost and share the fun!  We also plan special raffles and other ways for all families to participate. After the auction, it's time to dance! Of course, you can also relax and enjoy a coffee and dessert away from the dance floor, with friends new and old.

How can I contribute to EB's Gala and Auction? 

There are many ways to contribute to EB's biggest soirée, even if you don't plan to attend in person. 

1. Become a Sponsor or Underwriter 

Sponsors and underwriters to help make the Gala more inclusive by covering costs and supporting faculty tickets.

As a sponsor, you will have a unique opportunity to share in the success of EB's largest fundraiser, and help us reach our goal of creating spaces of belonging for all. 

As an underwriter, your contribution ensures that more funds raised at the Gala will directly benefit EB programs, tuition assistance, teacher salaries, and more. You can underwrite the bar, the band, the auctioneer, and even the dessert!

2. Donate items, activities, or experiences to support the school.

Here are examples of a few items and experiences that we're looking for:

• A stay at your apartment in Paris
• Season tickets to the Giants or SF Jazz
• Host a party or workshop for kids and/or adults
• Gift certificates, memberships or gift baskets
