David C. LaLomia grew up in western New York and has been drawn to the woods, sports, art and his family. He attended The College of Wooster Ohio where he earned his BA degree with a major in Visual Arts (focus in ceramics) and a minor in Education. Upon graduating in 1998, David stepped into a multifaceted role at Sewickley Academy. He was tasked with creating and teaching a Pre-K through 12th grade ceramics program, as well as coaching lacrosse.

Using his diverse skill set he was able to flourish at The Academy and continues to teach there today. He is constantly exploring different techniques, clays, glazes, and firings.
