This Zuni Pueblo fetish sculpture carved from stone, the bear, represents courage, resilience, and healing. Its eyes are delicately inset with turquoise-colored paint. Attached with sinew is a talisman bead in the form of a bushytail (which could represent a fox, wolf, or coyote), adding layered symbolism related to adaptability and guidance. The feathers signify a sacred connection and often represent prayers, protection, or blessings from the spirit world. On the bottom of the carving, you will find a traditional Pueblo symbol of the Sun Father, representing life, warmth, and cosmic harmony. Additionally, there is a crystal embedded within the design, symbolizing clarity, purification, and spiritual energy.
