THERE'S MAGIC ON THE WALKWAY AFTER DARK

Experience Walkway Over the Hudson like never before at Walkway at Night, when the sun sets and the Hudson Valley begins to glow. From 212 feet above the river, take in breathtaking views as the moon rises overhead and the lights of Poughkeepsie and Highland shimmer in the distance. There's truly nothing like a twilight stroll across the World's Longest Elevated Pedestrian Bridge.

Weather permitting, our friends from the Mid-Hudson Astronomical Association will join us on the bridge with telescopes, offering a closer look at the night sky and the celestial wonders above.

Walkway members attend free. Non-members may purchase tickets for $5 in advance or at the gate. Children 12 and under are free. Pre-registration is encouraged to shorten your wait at the gate.

Friends of the Walkway is a nonprofit partner of New York State Parks. All proceeds and additional donations from Walkway At Night directly support our mission to connect communities and enhance the Walkway experience for all through engaging programs, special events, and ongoing improvements.

WHAT TO KNOW IF YOU'RE ATTENDING

PARKING - Parking is available on both sides of the Walkway. Handicapped parking is available on the west (Highland) side. For full parking details, visit walkway.org/visit. Please note: the elevator does not operate during Walkway at Night, and the bridge is not accessible from Poughkeepsie Train Station or Upper Landing Park.

ELEVATOR - The elevator is not in service during Walkway at Night.

PETS - Leashed pets are welcome. Leashes must be 6 feet or shorter. Pets are not permitted in buildings or restricted areas. Owners must clean up after their pets. For visibility after dark, we recommend pets wear a light-up collar, harness, or other illumination device.

ACCESSIBILITY - ADA-accessible entrances are available on both ends of the Walkway. Due to construction, access is easiest from the west (Highland) side, where handicapped parking is located. No stairs are required to access the bridge. The Walkway spans 1.28 miles gate-to-gate, with approximately 0.3 miles from the west parking lot to the bridge entrance. The tram does not operate during Walkway at Night. To learn more about accessibility in the park, visit the Walkway's FAQ webpage.

RESTROOMS - Indoor restrooms are available inside the Welcome Centers on both approaches.

WEATHER - In unsafe weather conditions, New York State Parks may temporarily close the bridge. Walkway at Night events may be postponed or cancelled if this occurs. Updates will be shared on the Walkway website and social media channels.

REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges. If an event is cancelled, ticket holders may transfer tickets to a later Walkway at Night event during the same season.
