Locked In Fur Love: Locked In Fur Love: Mitchell Tenpas & His Passion for Speaking Up for Shelter Pets
Mitchell Tenpas believes that every animal deserves a voice. That's why he's stepping up to support Locked In Fur Love this Valentine's Day, raising awareness and funds for shelter pets in need.
"I've always been a huge advocate for animals," Mitchell shares. "They don't have a voice, so I like being able to speak for them. And let's be honest-they're just cute! I grew up with all kinds of pets-dogs, cats, and hamsters. So helping animals has always been close to my heart."
One shelter pet that has especially caught Mitchell's attention is Pork Chop, a sweet but nervous dog looking for a foster or forever home.
"I've been following Pork Chop's journey on Facebook, and I'd love to meet him in person. He's such a good boy. It would be amazing to see him find the right home where he can feel safe and loved."
Mitchell hopes that his involvement in Locked In Fur Love will not only raise funds but also highlight the shelter's incredible work.
"Of course, the money is important, but just as important is raising awareness about this amazing place and the people who run it. They do so much for these animals, and they don't always get the recognition they deserve."
For Mitchell, the bond between humans and pets is unlike any other.
"Most animals don't live as long as we do, and they rely on us completely. They don't get to choose their path in life, so we have to be the ones to give them the best life possible."
A childhood memory stands out when Mitchell thinks about his own experience with animals.
"I was a little kid when I ran into the house screaming that there was a monster on our front step. Turns out, it was just our neighbor's massive Irish Wolfhound! At the time, I was terrified, but looking back, it's a funny and unforgettable moment."
Mitchell encourages everyone to do what they can to support the shelter's mission.
"The more people who help, the more money we can raise, and the more animals we can care for. There's so much negativity in the world right now-helping these animals is a way to spread kindness and love."
This Valentine's Day, Mitchell wants to remind people that love isn't just for humans.
"There's not enough love in the world, so let's change that. Every little bit of kindness helps, and these pets need us. Let's make sure they feel the love, too."
Join Mitchell in making a difference-support Locked In Fur Love and help shelter pets find their forever homes.
