Locked In Fur Love: Nellie Weiss & Her Mission to Support Shelter Pets

This Valentine's Day, Nellie Weiss is joining Locked In Fur Love to raise funds for the shelter pets who need it most. As a dedicated animal lover, Nellie is committed to making sure these animals have the care and resources they need until they find their forever homes.

"My goal is simple-raise money to make sure the shelter has everything it needs to house and care for these animals," Nellie explains. "Every day, new animals arrive at the shelter, and I want to make sure they are comfortable and cared for until they find a loving home."

For Nellie, the bond between humans and pets is something truly special.

"My cat, Penelope-'P' for short-is my best friend. If I'm having a bad day, she knows. She just comes and cuddles me, no judgment, just love. It's that connection, that unconditional love, that makes pets so incredible."

She encourages everyone to visit the shelter and consider adopting a pet in need.

"These animals just want someone to love them. If you can give a pet a forever home, please do. And if you can't adopt, donating is the next best way to help."

Nellie's passion for helping shelter animals doesn't stop at Valentine's Day-she believes in giving back year-round.

"If I can do something to help, I will. This shelter does amazing work for our community, and every little bit helps, whether it's a donation, volunteering, or simply spreading the word."

And of course, as a self-proclaimed "Crazy cat lady," Nellie's love for felines runs deep.

"My cat plays catch-like a dog in cat form! If I throw a toy, she'll bring it back. And when I say 'nap time,' she comes running. She's just the best."
