Each piece is collaged, looped, and beaded by hand, featuring brain imagery to honor survivors of neurological ailments and to symbolize restoration and peace. Glittering accents represent the brain's regenerative pathways, while seven beads on each earring carry deep cultural meaning:

Four smaller beads → The Four Directions
Three larger beads → Mind, Body, and Spirit
Together, they reflect the Seven Generations principle, a reminder of the connection between past, present, and future.
Okcate, an enrolled member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, weaves her heritage and personal story into her work. As a caregiver to her parents-both survivors of traumatic brain injuries-she channels her artistry into inspiring others to share their own stories of struggle and triumph.
