About Alexa Junge
Alexa has credits from iconic shows such as Friends, Sex and the City, West Wing, Big Love, which garnered her a Golden Globe Award, 4 Emmy, 2 WGA and 3 GLAAD Award Nominations. As an Executive Producer, Alexa helped launch the first three seasons of Netflix's Grace and Frankie while also developing projects for Starz, Showtime, Netflix, Amazon, and HBO. Known for her original voice and wide-ranging expertise, she recently served as a Co-Executive Producer on Bosch: Legacy and developed Confident Women for Amazon with Alison Janney and Bob Greenblatt. Alexa has also consulted on hit series such as B Positive (NBC/Chuck Lorre), Why Women Kill (Paramount+/Marc Cherry), and Monarch (Fox).
In theater, Alexa's play Fingersmith (produced by Lily Tomlin) had sold-out runs at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the American Repertory Theater. She is currently developing a new play, Grethe B., commissioned by The Goodman Theater. A frequent contributor to This American Life, Alexa performed on their live national tour.
Her Friends episode, "The One Where Everybody Finds Out," was named one of
Rolling Stone's "100 Best TV Episodes of All Time" and was recently cited in The
Atlantic magazine as a scientifically proven "mood booster."
Alexa has taught film and television at major universities and consulted about story at networks, studios, advertising agencies and corporations. She is passionate about women's reproductive rights and has mentored at-risk youth through the 42nd Street and Virginia Avenue Projects.
