About Chef Mary Kastman

A Wisconsin-based culinary star, Chef Kastman honed her craft at Madison's top restaurants before bringing her passion for Eastern Mediterranean flavors to Boston's renowned Oleana and Sarma. As Executive Chef of Driftless Cafe, she was a 2022 James Beard Award Semi-Finalist for Best Chef, Midwest. In 2024, she launched Purslane, a pop-up concept that will soon open its first brick-and-mortar on Milwaukee's Lower East Side in the building that previously hosted Ardent.
