Artist Bio:

Kathleen Kennedy is an artist and educator living in Richmond, VA. She received her MFA from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Kennedy is an Assistant Professor of Art in Metalsmithing and Jewelry at Longwood University in Farmville, VA. Additional teaching includes Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, the Haystack Mountain School of Craft in Deer Isle, ME, the Penland School of Craft in Penland, NC, and Montgomery College in Rockville, MD. She is a 2023 recipient of the Center for Craft Teaching Artist Fellowship. Kennedy is a board member of Ethical Metalsmiths and serves as Chair of the Education Committee. She is a Director of Radical Jewelry Makeover, an international jewelry mining and recycling project that travels across the country and abroad. Kennedy teaches, lectures, and exhibits her work in both the U.S. and abroad.
