This year, we will come together to make a BOLD statement in support of Child and Adolescent Mental Health in our community.
Mental health challenges among children and adolescents have reached unprecedented levels. In Louisiana alone, one in five children have had a mental health emergency with conditions like anxiety, depression, and ADHD. Adolescent years are especially critical. Research shows that nearly 50% of all mental health conditions begin by age 14, and suicide remains the second leading cause of death for children and adolescents in the U.S. Our Lady of the Lake Children's Health is committed to addressing this growing crisis by providing compassionate, comprehensive, mental health services.
Through your support of The Big Bash, we will further develop our ability to serve more children, adolescents and their families who need help navigating mental health challenges. Funds raised will expand access to essential resources and enhance healing inpatient facilities.
