Meet Pearl, the boxer beauty whose perpetually sad expression hides her joyful spirit! Adopted by the Ricard family from Eunice, Louisiana, this former runt of an eight-puppy litter, half white boxers, half brindles, has grown from the "cutest nugget ever" into a loving companion with boxer jowls that may not smile but hide a soul of pure sweetness. Pearl's dad Eric, having grown up with boxers, knew exactly what he was looking for in a canine companion, and this little nugget stole their hearts immediately. Though she doesn't boast an extensive trick repertoire, Pearl has mastered the most important one: professional cuddling. Her signature move involves hopping onto her parents' bed, performing a precise one-minute circular dance, then transforming herself into a tiny crescent roll nestled perfectly between them. Do not try offering Pearl ordinary dog treats, this sophisticated lady turns up her nose at such boring fare! With a palate refined by her dad's steak leftovers, Pearl has developed quite the discerning taste. Her culinary adventures recently expanded to include fruit batting, with limes emerging as her unexpected favorite plaything. Pearl shares her home with her four human siblings and her golden retriever sister May, forming an inseparable bond with both. She also enjoys playdates with her whippet cousin Pippa. While Pearl doesn't mind occasionally sporting a sweater in cold weather or donning a bumblebee costume for Halloween, these fashion moments are typically short-lived thanks to May's prompt de-dressing services. Pearl's most touching moment came when the family brought their daughter home from the hospital. This sweet boxer instinctively knew to lay gently beside her. The Ricard family describes Pearl in one perfect word: "pitiful", a loving reference to her perpetually sad expression that has earned her an Instagram following at @PoorPitifulPurl, where fans can follow her journey and fall in love with her sad, silly faces that mask the happiest dog heart imaginable!
