Wide selection of terrific restaurants on Longboat Key, or venture over the bridge to downtown Sarasota for a meal. While there, visit one of the many cultural icons in the city. Sarasota is home to the Shelby Gardens, Ringling Museum, Sarasota Opera, Van Wezel Performing Arts Center, West Coast Black Theater Troupe, Asolo Rep, Circus Sarasota and more.

Other nearby activities include kayaking tours of the mangroves, viewing the gators and birds up close at Myakka River State Park, golf at numerous nearby courses and checking out the Orioles during spring training.
