Alec Karros Artsist Biography
Alec Karros is a functional studio potter and was a longtime adjunct professor at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He earned his MFA from Rhode Island School of Design, and his BFA from the Philadelphia College of Arts, now UArts. He has also taught at SUNY Oswego, the University of Colorado and the University of Washington. He has lectured widely including presentations for the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design, the National Council of Education in the Ceramics Arts, Pratt Institute, The Ohio State University, SUNY New Paltz, and Haystack Mountain School of Crafts. He has exhibited nationally and internationally.
