Please join us with special guest Kiya Tomlin on Wednesday, October 29, for a fun evening of fashion and conversation to celebrate our pillars of Inclusion, Engagement, and Education.
Arsenal Middle School is in our back yard, and they house one of the most underserved youth populations in the state. At CHAMP, our mission is to provide educational mentorship, opportunities, and experiences to disadvantaged youth in our local communities.
Please join us with special guest Kiya Tomlin on Wednesday, October 29, from 5:30 - 7:30pm, for a fun evening of conversation to celebrate our pillars of Inclusion, Engagement, and Education. All proceeds go toward our annual coat drive, providing winter coats to Arsenal Middle School students who are in need.

CHAMP (Career Help, Advancement and Achievement Mentorship Program) is a bridge mentoring program providing tangible mentorship between Arsenal Middle School students, University of Pittsburgh underrepresented in medicine (URiM) medical students, and our UPMC/Pitt faculty. Both Medical students and middle school students receive mentorship throughout the academic year. CHAMP hosts educational events and curriculums throughout the school year at Arsenal in partnership with UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh physicians, with a wide variety of subjects from CPR education, health and wellness education, and Black History Trivia. Our community partners and Pitt med students attend these events as volunteers and allies. Additionally, Pitt med students receive mentorship and career development guidance through physician mentor matches and attending our DEI various Lunch & Learn sessions focusing on topics from Imposter Syndrome to First Generation Physicians.
We are fundraising to support our ongoing CHAMP and DEI core mentoring initiatives and are grateful for your support!
