Artist Bio

Christopher T Wood is an Artist, Designer, Educator, and Pataphysician working in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, by way of Philadelphia, Chicago, and Pittsburgh. He thrives on collaborations with chance encounters and forces of nature and his endeavors propose imaginary solutions to impossible problems. Recently, Christopher served eight weeks as the 2023 Artist in Residence at The Dome House in Door County, WI, facilitated by the Miller Art Museum, and as the year-long 2022-23 Artist In Residence at Milwaukee's prestigious Pfister Hotel. Other notable residencies have been located in Iceland, Ireland, and Maryland.

With an MFA in Painting and a BFA in Visual Communication Design-Illustration, Christopher has recently shared his expertise through teaching positions at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's School of Architecture and Urban Planning and Peck School of the Arts, as well as at Ripon College. His work, exhibited widely in galleries and museums, is also housed in hundreds of private collections across the United States and several international collections. He is represented at Portrait Society Gallery of Contemporary Art.
