Artist Statement

Art takes me to a different dimension which is pure joy. I love the process of art and rejoice in every medium I work with; be it oils, pastels, clay, or any other material that will help to translate my idea. My artwork is a projection of my
personality energetic, spontaneous, full of life and passion. Every creation, like every day, is new and exciting to me. People and scenery intrigue me, I love to travel and am always looking for the perfect view or flea market. I like to find worth in the worthless, capture it in paint or recycle it to make it into a prize possession for the
place that is called home.

Artist Bio

Nancy Freeman Tabas an award-winning artist specializing in painting and jewelry
making. Nancy's art creates a visual world of light and color in oil, acrylic, and
encaustic paint. Her jewelry creations focus on vintage jewelry pieces that are
joined with her bead collection and upcycled into a modern design.
Nancy has shown throughout the Delaware Valley and in various locations in Vermont, New York City, and Miami. Her work can be found in collections throughout the United States and Europe.
Tabas' art is inspired by the world around her. She loves to travel and is an avid
hiker, cyclist, treasure hunter, and volunteer. Nancy has served on a multitude ofboards including Universities, Art Centers, and a small middle school in North Philadelphia.
