Artist Statement
Almost Arcadia is one of 25 images from a series of digital art works of the same title that explore our national origins of manifest destiny and environment stewardship of nature. The series revises the Emersonian notion of the North American wilderness as the new Arcadia, by juxtaposing inter-relationships of nature, the spiritual, and the political.
