Artist Statement
My prints are small scale, intimate etchings and monoprints with figurative and invented visual motifs. I use intricate crosshatching to create subtle tonal shifts and finely drawn lines to delineate shapes and figures which emerge from light and dark grounds.

Vivian Wolovitz has been exhibiting in regional, national and international venues for over 35 years. She received a Pennsylvania Council for the Arts Grant in Painting and has had artist residencies in Mexico, Greece, and Bulgaria where she participated in Process:Space, a two week invitational residency and exhibition of international artists. Her prints were selected for two highly competitive International Print Competitions at the Philadelphia Print Center. Wolovitz's work is included in numerous private and public collections including PNC Bank, Merck Sharpe and Dohme, Blue Cross, Prudential, Dechert Price & Rhoads, Norwegian Cruiselines, MICA Hoffberger, Moore College of Art, Himont Inc, First Pennsylvania Bank.
