2025 Relay For Life of South of the James Gala

Welcome!

In our collected 25+ years of volunteering with Relay for Life we have seen firsthand how many people are affected by cancer right here in our community. As daughters of a father lost to cancer and a 2 time survivor mother, this fight is deeply personal to us, as we know it is to many other people.

Started in Washington in 1985 by one man, Dr. Gordy Klatt, Relay For Life is the flagship fundraiser for American Cancer Society and now joins communities together all over the globe to fight cancer. In this 40th year, Relay will continue to support American Cancer Society's advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.

Our local Relay for Life South of the James will take place in Fall of 2025 in Midlothian and we will be kicking off the Relay season with our Gala on February 28th at The Mill at Fine Creek. This evening of dinner, dancing, and celebration with a Mardi Gras flair will help jumpstart our fundraising and get everyone in the mood to make this our most successful Relay yet.
