This beautiful 18" x 24" watercolor canvas print of Grays Peak is perfect for your home, office, or gift for family and friends. Denver artist Mike Wilson painted an entire collection of 14ers watercolor pieces and has donated them to Cottonwood Institute to support our programs. The canvas comes mounted and ready to hang.
ARTISTS NOTE: The local Arapaho called Grays and its ridge-mate Torreys the "Ant Hills." In 1906, the ants arrived, in the form of tourists riding the Argentine Central Railway to the summit of nearby Mount McClellan. Though the trains have stopped, Grays and its 14,267' neighbor are convenient to I-70. Now new generations are toting their cardboard signs to the rocky summits and claiming two 14ers in a single, long day covering the 3,366' elevation gain and loss.
