Through his work as an author and television personality, Anthony Bourdain '78 has had a lasting impact on our understanding of the world and global cuisine. Venture!, an original, hand-drawn portrait by artist Josh Montgomery who uses his colorful "Art + Story" style to celebrate Bourdain's legacy. Montgomery's colorful approach to portraiture seeks to "look beyond the surface and engage with the stories behind each piece."

He took us on journeys that centered around food, but more importantly, he showed us how deeply connected we all are, no matter which corner of the globe we call home titled this piece Venture! because to me that is the lasting legacy that Tony made in my life. Once I became an adult, I began to travel the world. With every interesting destination I channeled a little bit of Anthony Bourdain's adventure, curiosity, and lust for learning and indulging in the local cuisine of these beautiful and magical places."
