The Daniel Boone Council is currently assessing the needs of families across the region as well as the extent of the impact at Camp Daniel Boone. We believe the buildings fared well, but the damage to the roads and debris is extensive.

Daniel Boone Council is accepting monetary donations to support the Scouting programs of Western North Carolina after the devastation caused by hurricane Helene.  All funds collected will be used to repair the roads in Camp Daniel Boone,  clear debris, replace tent platforms and tent frames. Your support will also be used to help our families in need to replace uniforms, handbooks, or need registration assistance.

Thank you for considering an investment in Scouting in Western North Carolina, we want to ensure families affected by this catastrophic event are supported with their Scouting needs.

Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers as our region begins the road to recovery in the aftermath of this historical event.

Local families, please let us know about any needs or if any Scout in the affected areas has lost their handbook or uniform due to flooding. If your family has been impacted, please reach out to Paul Hollier at [email protected].

We want to help others at all times... We are here to support you as best as we can.
