Payge Semmes grew up in Charleston South, Carolina and graduated from the University of Georgia with a BFA in Interior Design. After working for several years in the design field, she chose to concentrate on fine arts. She attended art workshops around the country taught by nationally recognized artists. Payge focused on faith-related art and eventually began her teaching career at St. John Paul II Catholic High School in Huntsville, Alabama. After twelve years of teaching art, Payge retired in 2020.
