Julie Blackmon is a contemporary American photographer, creating digitally manipulated images set in familiar environments-like a backyard barbecue or grocery store-in which multiple competing narratives take place at once.

Blackmon is a Springfield, MO-based artist who most recently had a solo exhibition "A Life in Frame" at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City, MO. Her work can be found in the collections of the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art and the Nelson Atkins Museum.
