The Lure Merlot achieves superb balance by blending the yields of two soil types in our Coombsville vineyard-lots marked by structure, acidity, and tension from cobbled soil, with fleshier fruit grown in clay-loam.

Savory plum immediately makes itself known in The Lure. The bright, fresh fruit gives way to aromas of cool forest floor and dried savory herbs, and leans into briny flavors punctuated by wet granite. The palate is a harmonious blend of very fine, chalky tannins with hints of cocoa powder.
