Come on down to the Farm!
A Super Shindig for friends, supporters, and residents of Drumm Farm. What better way to welcome autumn and support kids in foster care and youth experiencing housing instability than a good ole fashioned festival on the farm?
Whether you take a hay ride, bounce to your heart's content on the inflatable games, take on the challenge of the mechanical bull, try your hand at axe throwing, ride the ponies, play for a prize at carnival row, or just want to sit back and chow down on some food truck fare while listening to the live band, the 2024 Hoedown will be a rip-roaring good time for all who attend.
All ticket sales go towards supporting the Drumm mission of inspiring the lifelong success of children, young adults, and families.
ABOUT DRUMM
Drumm Farm Center for Children provides nurturing and inclusive services that inspire and yield lifelong success of children, young adults, and families.
Nestled among 32 acres of tall trees and rolling hills, the historic Drumm Farm campus is a safe space, committed to offering a guiding light to area youth since its inception in 1919. Drumm provides a rent-free foster village community for families providing foster care, transitional-living apartments for youth experiencing homelessness, and a Street Outreach Services program for young adults living with housing instability across the Kansas City metro.
Drumm recently started New Beginnings, a program to serve young/teen parents and their babies experiencing homelessness, to ensure both parent and child have the resources and support needed to thrive. All are welcome at Drumm, and in addition to the walking trails, playground, gymnasium, disc golf course, and fishing/kayaking pond, everyone under the Drumm umbrella has complimentary-access to wraparound support systems including educational interventions and tutoring, trauma-informed case management, and individualized counseling support with licensed therapists on staff.
With 10 foster homes, 31 apartments, a working farm and Saturday market, and three campuses throughout the area, Drumm's small staff relies heavily on community support. It is because of YOU that Drumm will be able to serve between 250-300 youth in 2024. Thank you for supporting them.
