Thank you to everyone who attended the Sporting Clays Classic and helped make the event such a success! Your support and participation not only made for a fun-filled day but also contributed to furthering the mission of Scouting in our community. We are excited to announce the winners of the day's competition and auction items, and we extend a big congratulations to them! Their efforts on the course and in the auction were truly impressive. The Baltimore Area Council has held it's Sporting Clays Classic event annually since 2014. Since its beginning, the Classic has raised over $1 million to support Scouting in Central Maryland, annually generating around $150,000 to support Scouting, both in team sales and auction items. Scouting offers youth a safe place to try new things, including shooting sports. The Baltimore Area Council regularly invests in its shooting sports facilities to provide a safe environment and infrastructure to ensure every Scout has a positive experience in learning the safe handling of a firearm.

The Baltimore Area Council provides Scouting adventures for nearly 12,000 youth in Baltimore City and its five surrounding counties. The Council is committed to ensuring that every young person in this footprint who wants to be a Scout, can have a meaningful, safe, and life-changing positive experience with their peers. Scouting provides youth with a safe place to try new things, sometimes fail, and grow the confidence to try again and again. This kind of environment helps forge young men and women into the kind of future leaders that our community needs. We are proud of our organization that provides generation after generation with positive memories, life-saving skills, and values-based leadership training.
