You and three friends are invited to explore the Hudson River for two unforgettable hours aboard the sloop Clearwater, the beautiful 106-foot sailing vessel that has sailed the Hudson for over 50 years. If you choose to sail from Poughkeepsie you'll be treated to a trip under the Walkway Over the Hudson.

Your Clearwater experience includes helping to raise the mainsail once the vessel has left the dock, visiting with the crew at the fish tank to see some Hudson River critters, and perhaps taking a turn at the tiller with the Captain. Each sail includes a traditional moment of silence to take in the natural beauty of your surroundings and honor the mighty river.

Passengers are invited to bring their own snacks and refreshments.

Valid for the 2025 sailing season, approximately April 1 through October 31. You may choose a public sail from any location, but only Poughkeepsie allows for sailing under the Walkway.
