20Step back in time to 41 East 72nd Street, an 1882 neo-Grec townhouse meticulously restored over eight years to honor the craftsmanship and design of the late 19th century. This two-hour tour will guide you through the home's intricately detailed interiors, featuring original carved woodwork, preserved architectural elements, and period furnishings, including rare pieces by the renowned Herter Brothers. Rooted in the ideals of the Aesthetic Movement, the house highlights nature-inspired motifs, luxurious materials, and design influences drawn from Japanese and classical traditions. Led by the Saint David's owners and the architects who oversaw its restoration, the tour will also delve into the rich history of the families who lived in the house and the artistry that has shaped its unique story.
Tour takes place on May 14, 2025 from 10am-12:30pm. Coffee and treats provided!
