Two (2) Private 1-Hour Chess Lessons with a Nationally Ranked Chess Player

Jaime Jariton (Former HWIS Student, 7th Grader at Speyer)

In benefit of HWISPA-NY

Fair Market Value: $100
Starting Bid: $50

Your student can learn chess during two (2) 1-hour private lessons with a highly-skilled player and engaging coach with a USCF rating of 1900*. Jaime Jariton is ranked among the Top 100 in the United States for his age group, and was a key member of the team that won the K-6 National Chess Championships in 2024.

Jaime is an experienced chess coach for beginner-level students and up.

*For those who don't speak "chess," a USCF rating of 1900 signifies a Class A-level of play, indicating strong and experienced players who can handle more complex positions and demonstrate greater consistency in their gameplay. At this level, players begin to focus more on positional play and less on big, tactical mistakes.

  • Refer to the contact information on the HWISPA-NY winner certificate to coordinate a date, time, and location that mutually suits the coach and participant.

  • Redeemable within six (6) months of the HWISPA-NY 2025 Silent Auction (May 9, 2025).
  • Expires November 9, 2025.

HWIS Connection

Jaime is the older brother of June Jariton (HWIS Student, Mandarin Grade 3) and was a star on the HudsonWay Chess Club during his Eagle days! His parents, Emily Klingbeil and Santiago Jariton, have been generous supporters of HWIS over the years, proving that the apple rarely falls far from the tree.
