Can 10 year old bulls still make modern day rockstars? Check out the females Topps are selling on here on 10/2. My guess is one may be one of the highest selling females in the breed this year. Smoke Stack was a staple in our herd until Topp Herefords decided they wanted to make him famous at age 6, when we succumbed to Ryan, Prairie, and Jim and sent him to North Dakota where he finished his career making a huge impact on the breed. His dam was one of the most amazing cows we have laid our eyes on. In Topp's first calf crop out of him they raised the sale topper in their 2022 sale at $100K and the sire group averaged $29K on 7 head. In 2023 he once again sired the high seller for them and their second high seller. 2024 once again they rang the bell. He's not just a great phenotype bull he's a trait leader in eleven different categories. The bull is no longer alive and we have a limited semen bank that is close to rock bottom. Embryos by him also sell! Individual straw lots are at Transova. 5 unit lots are at Custom Genetic Solutions in SD. All semen and embryos must have shipping or transfer released within 30 days of sale or will be forfeited back to the seller.
