The Harlem Renaissance level of support is our highest giving level, reserved for donors who would like to maximize support for the scholarship program administered by the Foundation. Scholarships benefit students from underserved communities in Fairfield County by alleviating the financial burden of attending college. In the past two years, the Foundation has contributed over $52,000 in scholarships, with two scholarships provided to students attending HBCUs.
$5000 will provide a one-year scholarship to a Fairfield County student from an underrepresented community.
$2500 will enable GFCF to provide computers to first-time scholarship recipients to make them better prepared for a successful college career.
$1,000 will underwrite the costs of programming for the GRACE Program (Girls Reaching Academic Excellence through Collaborative Experiences), one of the longest running volunteer programs supporting middle school girls in Bridgeport, CT. Bridgeport is also one of the most underfunded school districts in the state.
$500 will allow the Fairfield County Links to provide educational forums and resource fairs addressing critical issues impacting Fairfield County residents. Examples include hosting a non-partisan forum with state and local politicians, and partnering with local organizations to educate the community on black health and wellness.
$275, the cost of one ticket to the Gala, will enable the Fairfield County Links to increase its outreach through programs addressing critical issues impacting Fairfield County residents focused on important topics such as career and educational readiness, mental health, and financial well-being.
Donations at any level below $275 are welcome to provide additional program support for The Fairfield County Links. No gift is too small to help us reach 100% giving for tonight's event.
