After launching YASU on March 1, 2020, surviving the pandemic, and since then becoming a nationally recognized organization for the young adult cancer population (18-45 years old when diagnosed) and their loved ones, it's time to celebrate our 5 year anniversary!!

Reception AT MIKE'S BEER BAR (5:30-6:30 PM)

We're kicking off the night with a reception at Mike's Beer Bar: Hors d'oeuvres, live band, auction, cash bar, and a special ceremony to reflect on YASU's journey.

SHINING STAR AWARD will be presented to:

Dr. Mounzer Agha, the director of the Mario Lemieux Center for Blood Cancers at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, and the clinical director of the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation of UPMC.

Dr. Agha was Stephanie's (YASU founder) oncologist when she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2005. His compassionate support for patients over the years and supporting Stephanie over the past 19 years as she survived and built a young adult cancer community are only a couple of many reasons why Dr. Agha deserves this special recognition. Talk about a full circle moment!

Enjoy Pittsburgh's only steak on a stone, jumbo Cajun shrimp on a stone, or stuffed portobello mushroom on a stone with salad and dessert as we continue commemorating YASU's 5 year anniversary!
