SOLD OUT Catalina BB Bag in Rose Color. The Louis Vuitton label was introduced in 1854 in Paris, France. Vuitton was hired as personal box maker and packer to the Empress of France, Spanish countess Eugenie de Montijo. She charged him with "packing the most beautiful clothes in an exquisite way." After the death of his father, Georges Vuitton began a campaign to build the company into a worldwide corporation, exhibiting the company's products at the Chicago World's Fair in 1893. In 1896, the company launched the signature Monogram Canvas and made the worldwide patents on it. Its graphic symbols, include qua-trefoils and flowers, as well as the LV monogram. In 1901, the Louis Vuitton Company introduced the Steamer Bag, a smaller piece of luggage designed to be kept inside Vuitton luggage trunk. The SPEEDY bag was introduced in 1932 to transport champagne bottles and is still the most popular design in the collection today. *Thanks to a private donation.
