Don Julio 1942 Tequila ($150 value)Celebrated in exclusive cocktail bars, restaurants and nightclubs, the iconic Don Julio 1942 Tequila is the choice of connoisseurs around the globe. Produced in small batches and aged for a minimum of two and a half years, Don Julio 1942 Tequila is handcrafted in tribute to the year that Don Julio GonzÃÆ'Ã'¡lez began his tequila-making journey. Don Julio 1942 is a complex, aromatic anejo tequila, aged longer than most anejos. Floral, candy and fruit notes accompany the expected grassy agave, oak, and brown sugar flavors. Don Julio Alma Miel Tequila ($100 value) Alma Miel is classified as a Joven tequila. The Spanish word "Joven" translates to "young". Joven tequila is made from a blend of unaged and aged tequilas. Continuing Don Julio GonzÃÆ'Ã'¡lez's legacy of living Por Amor to craft only the exceptional, Tequila Don Julio pays homage to the heart and soul of tequila with the introduction of Tequila Don Julio Alma Miel, a blend of Blanco tequila distilled with oven-roasted agave honey and Anejo tequila which has been aged for at least 14 months and finished in CrÃÆ'Ã'©mant du Limoux barrels. The result is an extraordinary tequila with slightly sweet notes of agave honey, spiced orchard fruit, creamy caramel, and rich roasted agave creating a lusciously smooth sipping tequila. Best enjoyed in its purest form, neat or on the rocks. Patron El Alto Tequila ($150 value) El Alto is primarily created using the traditional Tahona production method, a method that takes meticulous precision and time. The agaves are baked for days in clay ovens before being ground with ancient volcanic stone, and aged in a complexity of wood barrels for an exceptionally smooth and sweet taste with subtle notes of figs, honey, caramel, dried fruit, and vanilla. The unique sweet, dried fruit notes of PATRÃÆ'"N El Alto are a result of having been expertly aged in 11 types of barrels, mostly hybrid barrels of American oak body & French oak heads.
