Project Description:
Here at Penrose Elementary in Penrose, Colorado, we love to see our youngest students grow as little authors! Writing is where students are able to express themselves through pictures, words, and stories. We are requesting funds to support all learners in their growth and development to be better writers, and to make writing easier for our kindergarten students. Funds will be spent to provide tools to differentiate learning and meet the needs of all students. New floor desks and stools will be used for flexible seating, and dry erase boards and slates will help support learners, particularly those who struggle with pencil and paper tasks. We thank you for your help in bringing the joy of writing to our little learners.

Impact:
With your help, we will be able to reach a variety of learners to support them on their journey as writers. The addition of student floor desks and stools for our small group table will provide flexibility in seating and open up small and large group learning opportunities. The addition of chalk and dry erase boards will give learners the opportunity to use various tools to develop the fine motor skills necessary to become successful writers.
