Project Description:
I am requesting funds for an iPad Pro 11", Magic Keyboard, and Apple Pencil to assist me in my role as a reading interventionist working with K-5 students who have a Significant Reading Deficiency (SRD). In our school, 48% of the student population is identified as SRD, and we serve a diverse group of students, many of whom come from migrant worker families. This technology will allow me to efficiently track student progress, adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs, and provide targeted interventions to help struggling readers improve their literacy skills. By integrating this technology into my instruction, I will be able to deliver more personalized and data-driven support to students who face significant academic challenges.

Impact:
This project will support literacy growth for students who face significant reading difficulties. With 73% of our students qualifying for free and reduced lunch and 23.1% receiving Special Education services, this technology will help close the achievement gap. It will enable me to efficiently conduct running records, adapt materials for English language learners and students with special needs, and provide targeted interventions to those who need the most support.
