Project Description:
Meghan Alexander, a Literacy Intervention Specialist at Steamboat Springs Middle School in Steamboat Springs, CO, is seeking funding to enhance literacy instruction for her students, many of whom have IEPs or reading deficits. The project aims to provide headphones with microphones for students to record their reading, track vocabulary development using the Morpheme Magic assessment book, and subscribe to WordWall, a platform for creating interactive learning activities. These tools will improve reading fluency and vocabulary development, empowering students to become more confident readers and learners.

Project Proposal:
The project focuses on improving literacy outcomes for students with diverse needs through a multi-faceted approach:

Reading Fluency: Headphones with microphones will allow students to record and listen to their reading, helping them improve fluency, phrasing, and prosody.
Vocabulary Development: The Morpheme Magic assessment book will help track progress in understanding word origins and meanings, reinforcing key vocabulary skills.
Interactive Learning: A WordWall subscription will offer access to engaging and interactive learning games, enhancing vocabulary and comprehension skills in a fun, interactive format.
