Project Title: Science: Legos & Snap Circuits
Category: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
Funding Amount Requested: $1800
Project Description:
We are requesting funds for BricQ Lego Motion sets and Snap Circuits to enhance collaboration and critical thinking among our students in a rural district. Many of our students come from military families, resulting in frequent moves and a diverse learning environment. The implementation of these sets will provide hands-on opportunities for students to work in teams, applying physical science principles to real-life challenges. This project will not only foster engineering skills and 21st-century technology competencies but also empower our students by enhancing their ability to collaborate effectively, preparing them for future academic and career success. Funding this project will have a lasting impact on our students' learning experiences and personal growth.

Impact:
The BricQ Motion and Snap Circuits will support our classroom lessons aligned with current Colorado State Standards in Middle School Science and STEM. Students will utilize LEGO components to develop models that illustrate our classroom teachings. For instance, they will create models to demonstrate how energy is transferred from one object to another. Additionally, the BricQ Motion and Snap Circuits will encourage students to invent their own personal projects, fostering creativity and innovation in their learning.
Use of Funds:
I am requesting 10 Lego Education BricQ Motion Sets at $164.00 each and 5 Snap Circuits at $150.00 each, for a total of $1790.00.
