Funding Amount Requested: $2,000

Project Description:
We are organizing an exciting and educational overnight field trip for our 5th-grade students to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. This immersive experience will allow students to explore science and nature in a hands-on environment, engage in interactive workshops, and participate in an overnight stay alongside other schools. The goal of this trip is to enrich our students' understanding of natural sciences and to spark their curiosity through experiential learning.

Impact:
This field trip will not only deepen our students' knowledge of science and nature but also provide them with an unforgettable experience that encourages a lifelong love of learning. By engaging with science in a fun, hands-on environment, students will gain valuable skills in collaboration, observation, and critical thinking. The overnight aspect of the trip will also foster social connections and teamwork among students, enhancing their overall educational experience.

Activities:
- **Workshops**: Students will participate in hands-on sessions covering topics like biology, geology, and astronomy, applying classroom lessons in real-world contexts.
- **Exhibit Exploration**: Students will explore permanent exhibits on dinosaurs, space, wildlife, and the natural world, including the Prehistoric Journey exhibit, Space Odyssey, and Wildlife Halls.
- **Night at the Museum**: Students will experience a night at the museum with special evening programming, interactions with museum staff, and activities with peers from other schools.

Use of Funds:
The requested $2,000 will be used to cover transportation, entrance fees, and overnight accommodations for the students during the trip to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
