Project Description:
The Eastern Plains Career Accelerator (EPCA) is the alternative high school for Calhan School District, serving students from Calhan High School and four other rural high schools: Ellicott, Miami Yoder, Big Sandy in Simla, and Peyton. Located 37 miles northeast of Colorado Springs, EPCA provides education to students from the Eastern Plains. Our classroom would greatly benefit from a refrigerator with a filtered water and ice dispenser. Currently, students go through many bottled waters, and having this resource would allow us to use reusable bottles, reducing waste. The refrigerator would also be used for storing lunches, banquet food, and classroom supplies.

Impact:
Providing a refrigerator with a filtered water dispenser would encourage hydration, reduce reliance on disposable bottles, and help students stay focused and healthy. This resource would also support food storage for various classroom needs, contributing to a more organized and environmentally conscious learning space.

We are requesting $1500 to cover the cost of a refrigerator with a filtered water dispenser.
