Project Description:
Benjamin Corneliusen, the High School Band teacher at Eaton High School in Eaton, CO, is seeking funding to repair and restore several band instruments. For many high school students, the band is one of the few places where they feel they can truly express themselves. However, many of the instruments in our growing band program are broken or in disrepair, preventing students from fully participating and growing in their musical abilities. With repair costs for larger instruments like percussion and low brass ranging from $500 to $5,000, we need your help to ensure that students are given the opportunity to play well-maintained, functional instruments and continue their musical journey.

Project Proposal:
The "Help Us Repair Instruments!" project aims to provide our students with the tools they need to succeed in band. Similar to a car's regular maintenance, band instruments require routine upkeep to remain in working order. Unfortunately, many of our instruments have aged or become damaged due to regular use, which hinders our students' ability to perform and progress. These funds will be used to repair key instruments like bass clarinets, tubas, and vibraphones, giving students the chance to play instruments that function properly, sound great, and foster a lifelong love for music. Your support will directly impact the students and allow them to grow as musicians and individuals.

Budget Narrative:

• Bass Clarinet Repair ($564): Disassemble, clean, replace pads, align keys, regulate, and playtest.
• Trombone Repair ($193): Ultrasonic cleaning, bore repair, slide repair, and playtest.
• Tuba Repair ($933): Multiple slide repairs, dent rolls, valve alignment, and playtest.
• Vibraphone Repair ($350): Replace key, adjust pedal mechanism, motor check, and restring.
