Project Description:
Jennifer Bruns is seeking funding to enhance gifted programming for the Elizabeth School District, located in Elizabeth, CO. Our schools serve a diverse student population, including many from underrepresented backgrounds in gifted education. The "Discovery Days & STEM Mashup!" project will provide enriching opportunities through National Inventors Hall of Fame STEAM projects and educational field trips, all specifically designed for our gifted students. By supporting this project, you will help ignite students' passion for innovation, foster critical thinking, and broaden their educational experiences, helping them become the next generation of leaders in STEAM fields.

Project Proposal:
The goal of this project is to empower gifted students with hands-on experiences in STEM through two key initiatives: the National Inventors Hall of Fame STEAM projects and STEM-related educational field trips. These activities will provide our students with advanced opportunities to explore critical STEAM concepts, collaborate on innovative projects, and engage with real-world applications of science and technology. Our district's diverse student body will greatly benefit from these initiatives, which aim to nurture their unique abilities and inspire them to pursue future careers in STEAM. The field trips will further extend the students' learning by providing immersive experiences outside the classroom, such as visits to science museums and innovation labs.

Budget Narrative:

• National Inventors Hall of Fame STEM Projects: $1,200 (for materials and kits used in invention challenges and hands-on STEM activities).
• Educational Field Trips: $700 (for transportation and admission to STEM-related sites such as science museums and technology centers).
• Administrative & Miscellaneous Costs: $100 (for supplementary materials and project documentation).
