Don't miss the party!

Spred the word... Spred The Dub is launching the Delray Nights ~ Throwback! series at the The Hub at Space of Mind!

Doors open 8pm! When they close, nobody knows.

If you were a friend of John Paul Kline, we're gathering this 3rd Friday of August to raise some picklebacks for his birthday and to celebrate at Delray's favorite new live music hideaway! Jessie Steele is cooking up some old favorites, and we're looking forward to partying with old and new friends! Drinks and bites are included!

Are you a TEACHER? Teacher tickets are 50% off to celebrate back-to-school season. (Just show your ID when you check in.)

Then mark your calendar for the 3rd Friday of every month for more live shows!

A little backstory from Ali Kaufman, Founding Director of Community Classroom Project:

John Paul Kline and I met years ago long before the 3rd & 3rd era. I was sitting at a Starbucks outside when just after asking the person I was with for a catering referral, the windy air blew a handful of catering flyers onto our table. Just after, the really cute caterer from the cover was at our table apologizing for opening his backpack at just the wrong time. It was anything but.

A week later, we were downtown on a bench near the beach. He turned down the catering job, but we turned up the friendship. A year later, a few picklebacks in, he confessed to hearing my request and tossing the flyers overhead and behind him, right at us. He won we over even more. Our entrepreneurship connection was strong, but our heart connection even stronger. Today, on his birthday, stronger indeed.

I'm looking forward to celebrating with JP's long-time friends and all the lovers of the OG Delray local scene this Friday at the very first of many Delray Nights ~ Throwback Series! We'll be raising the vibe, raising some picklebacks and raising some funds to launch the John Paul Kline Culinary Arts Scholarship.

Fourteen Augusts ago, Space of Mind held our first family dinner in JP's backyard. He was there as I launched my dream, and I was there for him. As we grow the Community Classroom Project, especially the Community Classroom Kitchen recently launched on the SOM campus, we will continue to carry on his dream of celebrating food, art and people, always all at once. In his honor, and with the collective talents of Delray's top chefs and restaurants, we will inspire an equally talented, committed and intoxicating culinary workforce and future for a creative restaurant culture.
