The East Carolina Council, Scouting America, has been building character and instilling values in young people since
1915. Always in strong partnership with the religious, civic and business communities, Scouting teaches traditional values, respect for God and Country, life skills and responsible
citizenship to generations of young people.
Scouting teaches young people to confront any challenge
with whole hearts and clear minds-to live their lives without
regret, never back down and do their very best.
The mission of the Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by
instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Duty to God and country.
Service to our neighbors.
Responsible citizenship and confident leadership.
These values are at the core of Scouting, and they are just as important today as they were over a century ago when Scouting began. The East Carolina Council of the Boy Scouts of American continues this tradition, delivering high-quality programs teaching everything from wilderness survival and first aid to robotics and personal finance. Your support provides vital resources to ensure the continuation and growth of these programs for the youth of our region.
Join us for the Fourth Annual BSA Oyster Roast on Thursday, Oct. 10 at the May-Lew Farm event venue in Farmville, NC. There will be plenty of great food with oysters, a low-country shrimp boil and pork sliders all on the menu. You will also have the opportunity to bid on the many exciting items offered in the silent auction.
It's good food and good fun all in support of a great cause!
Doors open at 5:00 PM; food service begins at 6:15 PM.
